Making areas in Cities:Skyline don't cause anything.
Although I think it should cause a little money, but the price now is so expensive.
Making an 8×8 Dense residental area cause me 3 months of revenue.
I think the good price is maybe 200T per block, not over 1.5kT per block.
Should the fee of making areas be cheaper?

Having a static price for areas will make it pointless grow your economy after a certain point.
With area prices at 200₮/Block and you having 1M₮ you would be able to create 5,000 blocks worth of residential area.
And with those residential areas paying more taxes to you, you would gain more money. At one point the game would just turn into a sandbox world.

Re: Should the fee of making areas be cheaper?
Honestly, I think the inflation can get a bit ridiculous sometimes. If my income and inflation are neck and neck, what's the point in continuing to play? It just feels like I'm not making any progress sometimes..
