Addressing problems with Microtransactions, premium currency,

There is a large amount of people who complain that Theotown is "completely ruined" because "diamonds" were added and more things that require diamonds are being added. Many are unaware that experimental mode exists and complain about diamonds making Theotown "Pay to win" despite getting diamonds for doing absolutely nothing but opening up the game. However, some of their criticisms are correct. There were many changes to the game that pushed Theotown further into the realm of a "pay to win" game.
I think Lobby should consider removing these:
  • Pay to increase Theon income
    This is "pay to win" because you can get more income just by spending diamonds
  • Pay to decrease building time
    same as above
  • Collect what money your city made while you were gone
    I think this feature should be removed entirely because it makes no sense to collect extra money in real-time while no in-game time has passed. It is clearly just a place to put diamond transactions.
  • Making "more features store" harder to access
This is clearly an attempt to get people to buy diamonds and "pay to win" , while discouraging people from getting one-time diamond transactions.

I understand making enough money with this app is not easy, but more should be done to balance potential income and gameplay quality while not leading the game into "pay to win".

I really just agree with paying diamonds for collecting money while I was gone. The rest isn't too important for me. Like the pay diamonds to get faster build time, the longest I had to wait was like 8 minutes, and that was for 700+ ingame days.

Also, can you win in theotown?

Yeah, estate can go negative easily since you just start with 10000.

No. Some maps just get so far in debt that all you can do is remove things and hope for the best from what RCI you put down. That's why I always build farms before any polluting industrial. They don't need water or electricity.
