No, it was the a = b at the beginning. So when he got to the cancelling out (a - b) part, that was division by 0, which is undefined.

Well, didn't realize that...
It's important to simplify your equation before doing any sort of operations
except in this case there wasn't any definite numbers given so it's kinda hard to realize this error
