There's a bug where the transport doesn't want to work anymore and the game doesn't read the transport in the city.
I have noticed that also. It seems to have been introduced with the version that gave [dirs] also to road decorations.

It's to find the post again with an answer if I find one.
It might be possible with either the road or road decoration, to remove the road decoration, if a (or more) car(s) is there, but not a certain car to my knowledge as of now.
