You will find that most parking lots for big box stores have the traffic lanes toward the store rather than to the sides.

I try to build Bus Depots, Police, Firefighters and such between industrial zones and other zones.

These (and perhanps other buildings also) are not that sensitive with noise and they block the noise, too.
