I'm actually in favour of something like that but it'd need to be executed really well.
That being said I don't see myself working on something like that - tweaking the gameplay design would be a nightmare.
Also no thanks to programming all the needed menus and the like.

Re: Linux
its not the case, you must also have i386 packages installed As a Linux user myself (Fedora's GNOME spin to be more exact) this is not something I have noticed - but I am also someone that leans hardcore to everything JVM so I am not very intelligible in bugs that arise from a default configuration...

Re: Other TheoTown Forum?
Wouldn't call it a different forum but rather a different look & feel/style.
Whether I like it is another question - looks strange after having used the current style for years now.

I believe on steam you cannot log out. Once you logged in once it is connected forever.

Re: TheoTown folder in a different location?
I believe you can do that by setting a launch argument as provided in the following link: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1501235/change-user-home-system-property Alternatively, you can modify HOME environment variable for TheoTown when launching it. Beware that depending on your installation n...

Re: Borderless Window Mode
Add "-Dorg.lwjgl.opengl.Window.undecorated=true" to the launch options.
Now how exactly that is done I am not aware (since I usually manually launch the game which is different to using steam)

Re: .svg support in the game
Please don't. That would be painful to implement into by timelapse mod that doesn't work properly as-is due to the current state of the rendering pipeline.
Although I guess in the end it will be implemented by just converting the SVG into a raster image like any other image format.

Well logging in from time to time to see the state of the world you've once been part of isn't anything too ground-breaking. I'd even say it's quite natural

Re: Error on start
Apparently OpenGL error code 0x505 is an out-of-memory type thing. Installing a 64 bit release of Java would significantly help there. For further explanation: 32 bit releases of Java can only use about 2 GiB of memory until you cap out - for 64 bit Java that number is significantly higher. That bei...

Re: TheoTown modding crash-course
To be fair I knew about this for over a year now. It's just only now that I've written the needed tooling (more specifically TheoMLInit) for it to work. That being said, running a mod loader is one thing, actually writing mods is another. And I believe that latter may as well never happen due to the...

We do allow modding of the game on the desktop version, only. You furthermore may not circumvent protection measurements of the game. Re: Questions about images and copyright in the forum
If you goal is to license your own stuff then yeah - go ahead. However for derivative works (i.e. works that are based on other's works) it gets complicated very fast. If you are unsure about whether something is allowed or not then don't do something. If you believe that nothing can go wrong, then ...
