I could just argue de minimis, that is, I could just say that the thing I took was so small it doesn't matter? Huh.
Maybe I'll still credit the source when I post the plugin. Just seems nice.

Re: How can I make my own textures?
I would recommend making a bunch of 40x40 squares of texture that you can use as textures for any of your projects. It's very helpful, especially if you have GIMP, which can allow you to copy and paste a texture directly onto a surface. The best place to get textures like those is to look at pictur...

How can I make my own textures?
I feel like this should be a tutorial, actually.
To avoid copyright issues down the line, I decided to make my own textures for buildings. Problem is, I need a brick and copper roof texture.
So how do you people make your own textures, if you even do that?

Are textures copyrighted?
Say a plugin creator finds in an image that has the texture he needed for a certain graphic, and wants to use it. If the image is copyrighted, can the creator still use it without asking for permission?

Wherein Stephen has made yet ANOTHER church.
Hey guys. I am currently studying in senior high at a university, but somehow this allowed me time for plugin making, esp. the pixel sprite making. :img I am currently making another church, because apparently that's my forte, and as of this moment it's technically taller than the Big City Hall, whi...

Re: My town's a ripe mess
Build strong and cool infrastructure in the industrial areas and/or don't focus all your industrial areas in one place. When you start a new city, the first commercial area you build, try to keep building commercial areas near it and keep resedential areas separate, and eventually that commercial a...

My town's a ripe mess
Here's my screenshot of one of the towns I was working on. Screenshot_2018-06-27-13-56-10.png If you look on the minimap, it's very messy. The commercial and residential buildings are in a mishmash, sometimes the same buildings all sit in one spot, and even though I don't want this to happen, my ind...

Re: Medieval German Cathedral
Hi there, Yeah, so love the whole plugin. Only problem is that even though I've placed it in a densely populated area, with the low-school-high-school upgrade, the number is still at 0, and I need this to be fixed because nearby schools are reacting to "over-capacity". Help! I love this p...

City tech tree?
What if there's a sort-of "tech tree" that could unlock features to make gameplay easier?
Not that it needs to be mandatory, but it would certainly make things easier (less pollution, more radius for buildings, less chance for disasters, etc.)
Just wondering.

Any of you experience plugin-making burnout?
Not really a problem I have about the plugins, but I think I need to share it here anyway. My newest plugin really got me down to business, and by the time I finished everything, I just felt... sick and tired, I guess. Add to that the fact that my background requires that I only do the best work, an...

Medieval German Cathedral
Stat crux dum volvitur orbis. The cross is steady while the world turns. After an obscenely long hiatus, I have returned with a new plugin. https://i.imgur.com/TytB7pth.jpg This is an 8×8 cathedral, styled to the great churches of North Germany, particularly that of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony. Its ...

Can buildings be larger than 8×8?
I am currently in the works for a secret project, and during my design, I thought for a bit that it would not fit in the 8×8 tile. I found a way to fit it anyways, but that brings be to my question: Is there a possibility for me to build a building bigger than 8×8?
